Sorry been so busy what with reports however this is Punaromia also known as part of the Tarawera landing it is one of our little known paradises.
It is an easy 5 minute flat walk from the main carpark to a rare accessible wahi tapu cliff face site featuring historic waka drawings in red oche (kokowai). There is also a little waterfall that when there is heavy rain it becomes seriously like a dam. My uncle says when this happened the locals would come down for drinking water.
Stu and our students have started maintaining the area.
