Calling all Maniototo Rural Women!

We’d love you to join us for a combined meeting with the Maniototo Business Group on Wednesday 18 March.

📍 Hosted by Lohi, 8 Charlemont Street, Ranfurly
🕠 Starting at 5:30pm

Come along for a relaxed evening and hear from fellow Rural Women New Zealand members as they share their experiences of entering the RWNZ NZI Business Awards and taking part in the Activator Programme.

The 2026 RWNZ NZI Business Awards celebrate and support rural women in business across Aotearoa, while the Activator Programme helps women develop their business ideas through mentoring, workshops and practical support.

Our speakers will talk about what they gained from being involved, what the process was like, and the opportunities that came from putting themselves forward.

It will be an inspiring evening and a great chance to connect with other local women and businesspeople, hear some real experiences, and learn more about these opportunities.

For more details go to https://www.ruralwomennz.nz/rwnz-business-awards and also https://www.ruralwomennz.nz/activator

We’d love to see Maniototo Rural Women there!

Come along to an important Upper Taieri Wai meeting next Thursday where we will hear from Hugh Robertson (Department of Conservation) about the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands in the context of the Scroll Plain.

This is a great opportunity for landowners to hear directly on this topic, and also have the opportunity to ask plenty of questions about what this could mean in the context of the Scroll Plains.

Power in numbers!
For all of you out there that have done or are thinking about taking part in a Spirited Women’s event you will know about the mystery activities. This year they teamed up with Wilding Free Mackenzie to try and make an impact on a very sad sight. Working in numbers helps achieve what feels unachievable. Well done to all involved.

We will be tackling the willow issue over the next month up here, piece by piece here we go!!

We always have one eye on the potential of wilding pines here too, if you see any please let us know and we will pass this on to the right team. Thanks
