📸 TE KĀHUI MAUNGA THROUGH YOUR EYES

E te whānau — we want to see our rohe through your eyes.

We’re calling on our uri and community to share your photos of the places and people that make Te Kāhui Maunga home.

🏔️ Our whenua
💧 Our awa and wai
🌿 Our taiao
❤️ Our uri and whānau
📍 The places across our rohe that are special to you

Your photo could be featured in our 'Annual Report', helping us tell the story of Te Kāhui Maunga through the eyes of our own people.

And there’s something special up for grabs too!

Thanks to the generous support of 'PTL', we have '35 ski day passes' to give away to our uri and community.

'HOW TO ENTER'

Send us your photo via 'Facebook Messenger', along with:

• Your name
• Where the photo was taken / what it shows
• A short caption or kōrero about the photo, if you’d like
• The name of the photographer

Please send us the 'original/highest-quality version' of your photo where possible.

By submitting a photo, you confirm that you took the photo or have permission from the photographer to share it with us, and that you give Te Korowai o Wainuiārua permission to consider and reproduce it in our Annual Report and related Trust communications.

If identifiable people are pictured, please make sure they’re happy for the photo to be shared publicly. For tamariki, permission from their parent or guardian is required.

Entries have been extended and close 'Saturday 19th September, 2026'

You don’t need to be a photographer. Your phone is enough.

We simply want to see 'our whenua, our awa and our people — through your eyes.'

Send us your photos through Messenger 💛

Calling all our uri – we need your awhi!

The Electoral Commission is currently recruiting staff for the 2026 General Election, and there is an urgent need for Trainer roles in the Ruapehu area (Raetihi, Ohakune and surrounding communities).

This is a great opportunity to:
• Earn some extra income
• Support your local community
• Help ensure everyone has the opportunity to vote
• Be part of an important event for Aotearoa

The Whanganui Electorate is looking for around 350–400 staff across a range of roles, with pay starting at approximately $29 per hour, and senior roles paying up to around $34.50 per hour. Employment is casual, and you can choose the engagements that suit you.

Right now, Trainer roles are the priority, and applications in the Ruapehu cluster have been very low. If you enjoy helping others learn, are organised, and have good communication skills, this could be a fantastic fit.

Please consider applying or share this with your whānau, friends, and networks who may be interested.

Let's help ensure our communities are well represented and supported this election.
