Jerry Joseph closed out a day that began, with a double rainbow. Montana’s stormy skies book ending an epic road trip on a day blessed with side quests and magic moments. Starting in Big Sky, heading for Virginia City, a place frozen in time from over a century ago. It is my kind of town, buildings made of wood with toys, ci**rs and cameras all available. I mean come on! Arriving at dusk, everything’s closed. Apart from the bar, I grab a pint of the most local beer possible. A guy is playing the guitar in the corner, there’s no eye contact. Three people sit at the bar. The barman knows everyone in town. I stand out with a camera, but blend in with a big beard. He asks if I’m ‘going to the concert’. How is this possible here I think, but don’t? I let him know I’m not here for the concert, I’m headed out of town for Bozeman, big love and thanks to Yarrow. With my interest peeked though I ask where the concert is. ‘Follow the street light’. I do, ending up at a hall. Decided to stay for just one song, then one more and then just another ‘one more song’…. found myself locked in and loving it. Jerry Joseph is a master of his stage, guitar and song writing. He held the rose out the back of the hall, I only had time to grab the Leica Monochrom which was perfect. Jerry is epic, raw, flowing and engaging on stage. Song lyrics draw you in. Somone wrote Jerry’s sound is ‘hypnotic’ I agree. Jerry, thank you for your talent and time. Loved chatting with you, especially your Wellington story. Epic concert. Thank you for everything you do to foster peace and love. Peace Stu
