We meet every second Tuesday - check out our events for the next meeting! Tuesday: 6-7.30pm, St John Rooms, Douglas St, Frankton.

Toastmasters can help you to:

Come along to Toastmasters Networking Night on October 6th!

This is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about how to become a great public speaker.

We will have a guest speaker, Queenstown-born and raised Ashley Giles, who is the CEO of property management Southern Lakes operations. With over 18 years of experience in the property management industry, Ashley has built a reputation for delivering exceptional service, strategic growth, and outstanding results for property owners and guests alike.

As a previous Toastmasters member, Ashley uses his public speaking skills in his daily working life and has been involved in hosting conferences and events, and has also been the guest speaker for various events and panel discussions.

This is an event not to be missed!

We welcome all: new guests, previous members, and of course, our current Toastmasters Club members.

We had a fantastic meeting last night with an international theme! ✨

We heard wonderful prepared speeches about moving to New Zealand, and making it home away from home from Laura and Vishal.

We also heard a beautiful poem written by Catriona, and David led us through a fun FOBFO.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and everyone who came along and made the evening such a great one!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22nd, Queenstown Toastmasters Club is celebrating International Queenstown and warmly welcoming all different nationalities to come along to practise public speaking skills. So come along to a fun night and meet people all around the world!

Toastmasters Club is also inviting all the "new" New Zealand citizens, who have recently become Kiwis, to come join the Toastmasters meeting to share and hear stories about the journeys to becoming a Kiwi 🤗.

What a fantastic evening we had last week!

Thank you, Vishal, for toasting our meeting. Your poetic style really shone through in your opening and helped to carry us through the rest of the night. 💫

Thank you to Felipe for a great rainy day cliché FOBFO, and everyone else who came along to the meeting. We also heard two great prepared speeches from Catriona and Kat -well done both of you 👏.

Next week, we have a special edition, an "International Public Speaking Night", where we are welcoming all different nationalities to come along to celebrate international Queenstown. Also, the "new" NZ Citizen, who recently got their citizenship have been invited to join the meeting.

In our last meeting, it was great to see Chenin and Xinghao deliver insightful prepared speeches. Felipe did a great job toasting the evening, and a shout-out to David for a very thought-provoking FOBFO.

Never a boring moment at the Queenstown Toastmasters! Last week, Hamish "toasted" us by getting everyone up and speaking. The theme of favourite book, TV show, or movie really got everyone thinking and speaking!

Xinghao did an excellent job running the FOBFO following the theme, and a big congrats to Chenin for winning the Toastie Award 👏.

The next meeting is just around the corner on Tuesday, August 25th. Come along to a fun night, where the theme is a plot twist, and Felipe will be toasting us through another great evening!

📚TOASTMASTERS MEETING: BOOKS, MOVIES & TV SHOWS 🎬

Get ready for a fun and interactive meeting where everyone gets a chance to speak! 🎤

The theme is your favourite or recent book, movie or TV show.

We have a special edition event coming up as you’ll have the opportunity to give a short speech of approximately 3 minutes.

You can prepare something in advance, or keep it completely impromptu and see where your creativity takes you on the night!

Your speech can take any format you like:

- Recommendation or critique
- Plot summary
- Symbolism & messaging
- Formal presentation.

✨ Or anything else you think would make an interesting short talk!

This is a great opportunity to practise your speaking skills, share something you love, and most importantly, get everyone involved.

Come along, have some fun, and be ready to share your story! 🎤📚🎬

What a fantastic quiz-themed meeting last week!

It was such a fun-filled meeting. Thank you, Brendan, for being a great Quiz (Toast)master.

We had two fantastic prepared speeches by Brendan and Hamish.

Brit gave us a great FOBFO challenge that really helped us hone our creativity and impromptu speaking skills.

Even though we were a small group, it was a really good night. 💫
