Last week, we enjoyed another inspiring and entertaining Toastmasters meeting. A special congratulations to Britt, one of our newer members, who did an excellent job stepping into the Toastmaster role and guiding us through the evening with the theme “Winter Magic.” ❄️✨

The theme continued with David’s engaging prepared speech “Winter Wisdom” sharing David’s wisdom of life. We also got a treat Hamish delivering an inspiring impromptu speech from his hike to Isthmus Peak. 🏔️

One of the things that makes Toastmasters so special is that every meeting brings something different: interesting stories, personal growth, laughter, and a supportive community 💫.

Next week’s meeting is a special one!

We’ll be holding our Club Officer Elections, giving members the opportunity to step into leadership roles and help shape the future of our club.

We’ll be electing:

- President
- Vice President Education
- Vice President Membership
- Vice President Public Relations/ Communications
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Sergeant of Arms

If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved, this is your opportunity to develop your leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Join us next Tuesday for an exciting evening of public speaking, leadership, and community. We look forward to seeing you there! 🎤✨

What an epic Toastmasters meeting! David did an awesome job as a Toastmaster, leading us through the theme family traditions.

Nicole as FOBOiat followed the theme, and we heard lots of great stories about family traditions across the world.

Laura delivered an inspirational Motivational Strategies pathway speech about what life would be like if fear did not hold us back.

We heard a phenomenal icebreaker from Britt taking us from Canada all the way to Australia and New Zealand sharing her exciting life journey.

We also had many guests joining the meeting, spicing up things and bringing great energy!

Nice work team, and especial thank you for Brendon, wearing so many hats in the meeting 🙏.

See you in the next meeting on Tue, June 2nd!

Did you know that Toastmasters is not only a public speaking club? It’s so much more!

Once you join as a member, you get access to Toastmasters Pathways, which is an online educational programme designed to help members build communication, leadership, and personal development skills. Members can choose from different learning paths based on their goals, interests, and areas they want to grow in.

Toastmasters offers six main Pathways learning paths:

✨ Dynamic Leadership
✨ Engaging Humour
✨ Motivational Strategies
✨ Persuasive Influence
✨ Presentation Mastery
✨ Visionary Communication

Each pathway helps Toastmasters members develop communication and leadership skills, as well as confidence, and personal growth through practical projects and real-world experiences.

Come along to the next Queenstown Toastmasters meeting on May 19th to learn more 😊.
