The Wakatipu Toy Library is a nonprofit community organization based in Frankton, Queenstown, offering families affordable access to over 1,200 toys, puzzles, games, costumes, bikes, and outdoor toys suitable for children from six months of age. Our mission is to foster creativity, learning, and play while promoting sustainable living through toy sharing. Our friendly librarian, with the support o
f a dedicated committee of volunteers, ensures that we provide an efficient and welcoming service. Families can borrow up to 4 toys, 2 puzzles, and 1 dress-up item for three weeks at a time, with a range of membership options to suit different needs:
- 6 months Helping - $50
- 6 months Full - $100
- 12 months Helping - $80
- 12 months Full - $160
- 12 months Grandparents - $20 + $2per toy
- 2 week Holiday - $20
A full membership exempts you from helping in the library, while a helping membership involves a small commitment to assist for an hour and a half every six months. We may also ask for help with our annual stocktake or fundraising events. We also offer a bouncy castle for hire at just $80 per day for members ($130 for non-members), along with a large selection of birthday cake tins—perfect for your next party!
