Epic Day at Hayes Creek. Great to see such a range of ages out enjoying planting another 350 natives in the hot sunshine. It's going to look amazing one day. Thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors (Trees that Count, QLDC, Mitre 10, Central Lakes Trust, Domino's Pizza), and Melissa White for her famous cupcakes. On target to hit 4,000 native plants to date by the end of this planting season 🙂

We will be planting 250 trees sponsored by Trees that Count with Plant guards sponsored by Central Lakes Trust. Compost and other plants and support augering holes provided by QLDC. The legends at Domino's will again be sponsoring some pizzas at midday for those who muck in. Come and be part of the Bridesdale Bush story.

Shout outs once again to Shotover Primary School for their incredible mahi. Another 385 trees planted in the last couple of weeks on the main reserve at Bridesdale. Great to hear their excitement in seeing the first trees they planted being more established. They have now planted over a whopping 1,500 which is half of the total 3,000 planted by community volunteers in the last couple of years! 😉 Thanks to QLDC for supplying the plants/guards and Emma Watts for leading the charge

Reminder for the next Bridesdale Bush community planting day Saturday morning 12th April 10am. The legends at Dominos will again be sponsoring some pizzas at midday for the volunteers.
