It’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities
This year’s theme from the United Nations is fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress to create communities where everyone can live with dignity, opportunity, and security.

So today we want to acknowledge and celebrate for creating these communities in the Wānaka.

We’re proud to support their Creative Hub Programme 🎨💡 — a space for Rangatahi and adults to explore creativity, grow independence, and build connections to the wider community. 🌱💚🖌️

is re-imagining how we move — creating transport solutions that work for people, communities, and the planet. 🌏💚 We’re proud to support their cycle confidence training for tamariki, migrant and second-language-speaking wahine, and e-bike sessions for seniors. Through this awesome kaupapa, bikes are gifted to those who need them most, breaking down barriers to healthier, more sustainable ways of getting around. 🚲✨

🍽️💜 Fighting food waste and feeding whānau! Since 2012, has rescued nearly 16 million kilograms of food — that’s over 35 million meals — and shared it with 235 charities across Aotearoa.

Through their community-led approach, fresh, good-to-eat food reaches those who need it most. And here in Queenstown and Central Lakes, the SkyCity Queenstown Community Trust has proudly supported for the past two years, helping over 1,000 people every week access nutritious meals.

Big news from Wānaka! 🌟 Youth Search and Rescue (YSAR) has officially landed, with support from SkyCity Queenstown Community Trust! 🚁💪 With over 610 students across 8 regions in Aotearoa, the YSAR whānau is growing stronger every day! 🙌🌿
