SUCfree Whakatipu SUCfree Whakatipu is a not-for-profit campaign that supports the move away from SUCs (single-use-cups).

We work with our local businesses and the community to lead change with the goal of making our beautiful town SUCfree by the end of 2022. Contrary to what we are led to believe, takeaway coffee cups are not recyclable and are rarely compostable. This means that approximately 295 million cups end up in landfill every year. Single use cups are not a requirement to enjoy a delicious takeaway drink, a

nd we invite you to choose an alternative that does not impact our beautiful environment. Sit! - Take 10 and enjoy your hot drink at the cafe

Bring! - Bring your own vessel; cups, mugs, jars and keep cups are all welcome

Borrow! - Borrow a cup from a cup library or loan cup schemes
