We are incredibly proud to celebrate our Founder and Board Member, Terese Marr, who has been appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours.

Since co-founding the Runway Foundation in 2015, Terese has dedicated countless hours to supporting children, young people and families navigating ADHD. Through her leadership, vision and unwavering commitment, the Foundation has grown to provide support, advocacy, education, mentoring and life-changing programmes for hundreds of families each year.

Terese has been a passionate advocate for seeing ADHD as a strength, helping shift mindsets within schools and the wider community while ensuring families feel understood, supported and empowered.

This honour recognises not only Terese's service to ADHD support, but also her longstanding commitment to philanthropy and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

On behalf of our Board, staff, volunteers and the many families whose lives have been touched by her work, congratulations Terese. This recognition is incredibly well deserved, and we are grateful for the lasting impact you continue to make in our community.

It’s the long weekend!

For parents raising children with ADHD, weekends can sometimes feel anything but restful. Whether your family is slowing things down, burning energy outdoors, sticking to routines, or simply getting through the day, do what works for your household.

Choose rest without guilt where you can, and remember there’s no “right” way to spend the weekend.

Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable Kings Birthday Weekend 💛

💗 Pink Shirt Day 💗

Every child deserves to feel accepted, included, and safe being themselves.
For many young people with ADHD, everyday moments can come with extra challenges — feeling misunderstood, being left out, struggling with friendships, or being labelled for behaviours linked to how their brain works.

Today is a reminder that kindness matters.

A kind word, a little patience, an invitation to join in, or taking the time to understand someone can make a huge difference to a child’s confidence and sense of belonging.

Let’s continue building communities where neurodiverse young people feel supported, celebrated, and valued for exactly who they are.
