Porirua Xmas Pet Food Drive - This Sunday 21st December at 4pm 🎄 🐕🐈‍⬛

It’s been a tough year for many, but with the generosity of local businesses and the Porirua community, we can make it slightly easier and supply some Christmas goodies for your pets.

The drive will be held at one Agency office in the City Centre. The address is 7 Hartham Place South. It’s the black office building on the corner, on the same block of shops as the blood test place and near New World. Opens at 4pm until stocks last.

Kia Ora Whānau.

A reminder that we will be having a Special General Meeting this Sunday 7th of December 2025 at Horouta Marae at 1pm.

The meeting will be to table our financial report from April 2024 to March 2025.

Please note: This requires a quorum of at least 15 whanau members in attendance.

After the Special General Meeting we will conduct our last Whanau hui for this year.

Please bring a plate for shared kai.

Kia Ora Whānau.

In accordance with the Horouta ki Poneke Marae Society Incorporated constitution, we are giving notice of a Special General Meeting.

The meeting will be to table our financial report from April 2024 to March 2025.

Please note: This requires a quorum of at least 15 whanau members in attendance.

Kia Ora e te Whānau. Just a quick mihi to our whanaunga Aidan Crawford and the Fire and Emergency NZ team for helping the marae with the installation of our new smoke detectors and improving our fire safety. Our new smoke detectors are interconnected, meaning if one of them is triggered, then all other smoke detectors within the marae complex are also triggered, allowing Whanau to be alerted quickly and to evacuate safely. The new detectors are also fitted with smart technology which will allow for any alerts to be sent as notifications via mobile phone. Improving the safety and resilience of our Marae is a top priority for the Marae committee, so keep an eye out for further improvements over the next year! Kia pai te rā Whānau 😀
