Want to vote but don’t know where to start? Come through to our rangatahi focused meet the candidate event. All candidates have been invited so come and get to know who wants to represent us.

There will be free kai, giveaways, performances and more. This is an opportunity for young people to ask the questions they want to ask in a safe forum.

Porirua Youth Awards 2025

A night full of celebrating 17 amazing Rangatahi in our city. These young people are all excelling in a range of categories including Education, Sport, Art & Culture, STEM, Community and Environmental Work. How grateful we are as a team to have been able to celebrate these young people alongside their whanau, friends and all of our guests. We had inspirational speakers Ameliaranne Ekenasio, Magele Maria Uluilelata and Chris Kirk-Burnnand.

Last week Jacqui and Ruby had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with and the local Plimmerton Rotary club. We organised mock interviews for about 100 students.

Most of the students came in feeling nervous but left with a sense of confidence. “I managed to ground myself and ended up feeling more confident” a quote from one of the students🤝🏽

Ngā Mihi Nui to all of the students, kaiako and our volunteers from the Plimmerton Rotary club.
