Butterfly Walkway Porirua

Butterfly Walkway Porirua A place to create happy memories for our babies and children who are gone to soon My Daughter Lilly has taken me on a journey I will never be ready for.

The Butterfly Walkway Porirua

This is a memorial pathway, a place where we can remember and create happy memories of our babies and children who have passed away. Learning to live in a world where child loss is a real thing, not just something that happens to other people. My Lilly was able to be a part of the original Butterfly walkway in Nelson, it is such a beautiful and happy memorial that I wanted to bring it to Wellington. The lovely folk at Porirua City Council agreed and we are working together to make it a reality. The pathway shows the life cycle of a Butterfly. Where it begins as a egg, hatches into a caterpillar and then spreads its wings as a beautiful butterfly. The Egg section is for our babies who were born sleeping, carried but never met. The Caterpillar section is for our infants who were held but could not come home and stay. The butterfly section is for our Children who came home but could not stay. I look forward to updating you all as we start to create memories of our babies and children. Warm hugs
Sarah

And they are in!!!

A beautiful day spent creating memories for families ❤️

Due to a change in circumstances for a couple of families, I have 1 plaque in the caterpillar section (passed away after birth up until their first birthday) and 3 in the flower section (babies who passed away during pregnancy or were stillborn) available.

If you would like to have your precious baby remembered in the walkway, please send me a message ❤️

Caterpillar plaque is $140 and the flower plaques are $120 ❤️

The final installment of our walkway is scheduled for tomorrow, celebrating the memories of hundreds of babies and children honored over the past six years.

I am privileged to have been entrusted with all their stories.

I am looking forward to being with the families tomorrow who are installing their plaques, creating memories to add to their collection ❤️

Thank you to all the walkway families who were able to respond (almost all of you

Hi everyone

Unfortunately the team at Glovers are no longer able to do the installation of plaques this weekend due to a situation outside of their control.

We are working on a new install date - as soon as it is confirmed I will email you all again.

I am really sorry - I know many of you had planned to travel down for it
