🔥 SOMETIMES, ONE PERSON’S BELIEF IN YOU CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE YOURSELF. 🔥
This week, Gratitude NZ had the privilege of witnessing something incredibly special at Auckland Normal Intermediate.
We were honoured to have Nathan Jones from the Warriors, an incredible empowerment speaker and strength coach, spend time with 90 students and athletes who are preparing to represent ANI at the **National AIMS Games in Tauranga next week.
But this wasn’t just about sport.
It was about teaching our young people that strength isn’t only measured by what happens on the field. True strength is found in how we respond when things get hard, how we keep going when we doubt ourselves, and how we build the habits that shape the person we become.
Nathan reminded these young athletes to believe in themselves, ask for help when they need it, trust the process, and keep showing up.
Because sometimes, a few powerful words at the right moment can stay with a young person for years.
At Gratitude NZ, this is why we do what we do.
We believe every young person deserves to feel seen, supported and believed in.
When we invest in our rangatahi, we aren't just investing in today's athletes. We are investing in tomorrow's leaders, parents, mentors, role models and community champions.
These 90 students will travel to Tauranga carrying more than their sports uniforms and school colours.
They carry the hopes and pride of their whānau, school and community.
And we hope they remember this:
You are capable.
You are stronger than you think.
Believe in yourself.
And never be afraid to dream bigger. ❤️
To Nathan Jones — ngā mihi nui mō tō tautoko, tō unwavering commitment and for using your experience to lift and empower the next generation.
And to the incredible students of Auckland Normal Intermediate:
Go out there. Back yourselves. Enjoy the moment. Give it everything you've got.
Go well, ANI! 🏆💙
Because when we empower one young person, we don't just change their future — we help change the future of our communities.
