Kia ora kotou,

We appreciate you and your support! Thanks to The Big Idea whānau for helping us to express our whakaaro/ purākau x

We get reaction to the announcement that Tāmaki Makaurau has lost an invaluable event for creative expression - but hope remains it may return.

Kia ora kotou!

It has been a very trying first half of 2025 for the festival. After examining every avenue possible it is with deep disappointment that due to our current climate of funding restrictions, we have to officially announce, Auckland Fringe will not be activating this year.

We already have our heads down and are planning how we can come back with a bang in September 2026! Once we have everything in hand we will keep you notified.

We wish you all a wonderous 2025 and will be in touch soon. Keep embracing the chaos whānau!

A massive thank you to all the incredible artists, and passionate audiences who brought this festival to life! Your enthusiasm and spirit made every moment special. ❤️

As we wrap up this chapter, let’s keep the inspiration alive and continue to support the arts in our communities. Until the next Ahurei Mōwaho o Tāmaki Makaurau, keep creating, dreaming, and celebrating! 🌈🎨
