Please come up the driveway and park on the gravel area to the left of the homestead - if you are able to carpool, please do.

As you'll know, the weather hasn't exactly been playing ball and it's very unlikely we will be in the garden tomorrow BUT we have heaters and we have plan B and C...unfortunately, the weather forecast doesn't look great, so please don't forget your coat/jacket.

A warm welcome to our Moanaroa Ladies Long Lunch guest speaker, Lindy Nelson.

Lindy needs little introduction, her incredible work supporting rural women and their farming businesses is well documented.

Lindy and her husband David farm at Alfredton and Lindy founded the Agri-Women's Development Trust (AWDT) in 2009. She has played a pivotal role in helping thousands of women unlock their potential in our sector. Recognised as the NEXT Business Woman of the Year in 2013, she was also made a Member of the NZ Order of Merit in 2016 for her services to agriculture and women.

More recently she has been the chair of Safer Farms and also founded the podcast Amplifying Us.

We are thrilled to have Lindy joining us on October 15 and look forward to hearing more of her inspirational story, and insight into the challenges and opportunities we all face as rural women.
