I'm plreased to announce the plans for next Saturday's rally - demystefuing dressage with the amazing Nicky Hallen
With the last day of the Winter Dressage series at WEC coming up at the beginning of September, we thought it would be a great time to run a dressage education day. If you have ever contemplated giving it a go WEC has some great, low preassure classes that cater for everyone from beginner horses and beginner dressage riders right through to advanced riders.
Come along and join Nicky Hallen – Level B NZ Dressage Judge with many years of judging and riding experience, find out about what this dressage marlaky is all about, and gain an insight into the judge's perspective. Practice what you have learned for the next few weeks and then give it a go at WEC 😀
Two Levels offered. Sessions iwth be approximately 90 minutes longe with thoery first, then your chance to give it a go. Cost is $30 per person.
Total beginner and low level.
You will learn:
✅ the layout of a dressage arena,
✅ how to read a test
✅ how to ride a test
✅ basic arena craft
✅ what are judges looking for
and have a chance to g c ive it a go using a choice of a walk and trot only test, or walk, trot and canter.
Intermediate and advanced group
This group will cover
✅ Learn what judges reward
✅ Improve your arena craft
✅ Maximise your test marks
You'll tthen be able to give it a go using either a preliminary test, or get brave and attempt a novice
