Kia ora Course 741!

You arrived as strangers and left having shared challenges, achievements, and moments that will stay with you for years to come.

May the confidence, resilience, and connections built here continue to guide your next adventure.

Ka rawe, Course 741. Welcome to the Outward Bound whānau.

No two days at Outward Bound look the same. One of the things we hear from students most often is how much they enjoyed not having to think about the scheduling or logistics of the day, allowing them to be fully present. The days are full but there's plenty of time for reflection and refueling.

This whenua had names long before Outward Bound ever ran a course here. Umungata, Wati Uru, Tōtaranui. These places are special to us, and we're so privileged to move through them course after course.

Often people assume Outward Bound is about how hard you can push yourself physically. It's not. The challenge is just what clears the space for the reflection that has the power to change you.

For Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, we're sharing our Kōrero on Course: a three-part look at te reo Māori behind what we do, where we do it, and who we become doing it together.

Starting with our schemes, the proving grounds for the profound change our students experience. Do you recognise any of these words?

Last chance: write your Will for free with Safewill!

Around a third of New Zealanders say they'd consider leaving a gift to a charity in their Will, but many never get around to writing one in the first place.

That's exactly why we partnered with Safewill: to make writing a Will simple and free, so there's nothing standing in the way.

A Will gives the people you love clarity and peace of mind when they need it most. And for those who choose to include a gift to a cause they care about, it becomes something more, a way of shaping the future, long after today.

If Outward Bound has played a part in your life, or you believe in helping young people discover what they're capable of, a gift in your Will could help give future generations the same life-changing opportunity. It’s a simple way to leave a lasting legacy for young people in the years to come.

Write your free Will before it closes (31 August).
