Thanks to the founder of another amazing organization Vicki-Anne Parker of NZ Gifts of Love and Strength I was able to purchase this box of goodies from their recent garage sale and Vicki even kindly delivered it half way for me to Cheviot then another person brought it the rest of the way saving a lot of money on postage. ♥️

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying this lovely spell of weather.
It's been a hot minute since I have posted on here.
August and September weren't very kind to me with winter bugs etc.
I ended up with Influenza A (twice) and Puemonia which put me in hospital for 7 nights.
I am on week four of recovering at home and it has been a very long ow process.
Today I was feeling really good then by lunchtime the fatigue set in and I went down hill again.
So I am taking life pretty slowly at the moment.

Not much on the bag side of things.
Three families arrived in Marlborough recently but only one family has children so the photo below I dropped off this week.
I forgot to photograph the contents but I am sure the children would have been very surprised to receive them.

Take Care . If you have been hit over the winter by the illnesses going around I can fully sympathize. ♥️

Just one bag out this week to help a young teen girl who needs a bit of support navigating her home situation.

Today mark's 5 years since I started this wee group.
I have so much support and help from you all since the start so thank you all.
I still love thinking about how a small gesture can make difference in a child's time of need so that keeps me going.

I popped into the Red Cross this morning to drop off two bags and was surprised to be given these two vouchers and a lovely card and I also heard from some of the social workers how much the children love receiving a bag of goodies that is all theirs to keep.
It was very touching ♥️

I hope everyone survived the storm over the past few days!
I had a request from The Red Cross resettlement coordinator for six bags for two individual families arriving here next week so that kept me busy
Thank you to everyone who has donated items over the past few weeks as well. Much appreciated
Enjoy your long weekend if you have today off for Matariki Day celebrations.

Last weekend I noticed the Blenheim Warehouse had a good special on hot wheels cars reduced from $3.00 to $1.00 each!
I did a click and collect online order for 20 cars also avoiding having to pay for postage or drive into Blenheim untill I was next there.
Happy with this bargain 😊
