Are you spending money across multiple marketing channels but not sure what’s actually working? You’re not alone. IAB New Zealand has put together a practical guide to Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), written for the New Zealand market, with input from local experts.

MMM is a way of using your own historical data to figure out which channels are genuinely driving results. No cookies, no tracking, just a clearer picture of where your budget is making a difference.

The guide walks you through what MMM is, whether it’s right for your business, and how to get started. Find it at iab.org.nz - link in our bio

🌿 New free resource just dropped... the GMSF Pocket Guide.

Digital advertising feels invisible. No exhaust pipe, no factory floor. But behind every impression is a chain of servers, auctions, content delivery networks and devices, all drawing energy and generating emissions.

The Global Media Sustainability Framework (by ) gives any brand, agency or publisher a free, standardised way to measure the carbon footprint of campaigns across digital, TV, out-of-home, audio, print and cinema.

And some of the highest-impact changes are also the simplest: ✅ Compress your creative files ✅ Clean up your programmatic supply path Both improve performance and reduce emissions.

We’ve put it all into a free, easy-to-read 4-page pocket guide, link in bio to download.

Huge thanks to Jonas Jaanimagi & , Jennifer Gunn at Ad Net Zero New Zealand, and Christina So, Group Digital Planning Director at Initiative Aotearoa NZ for their contributions. 🙏

New Zealand’s digital advertising market has hit $2.967 billion, up 12% year on year.

But the real story of 2025? … Video. 🎬

Growing 27% to $653.8 million, video now represents 22% of all digital advertising investment in NZ, making it the fastest growing format in the market.

Search held strong at $1.44 billion (+12%), and Q4 closed out the year on a high at $813.8 million.

NZ’s results mirror what IAB UK and IAB Australia reported, digital advertising proved resilient in the face of economic uncertainty, with video the standout format across all three markets. 🌏

The IAB New Zealand Q4, CY 2025 Digital Advertising Revenue Report is out now. IAB NZ members can access the full report via the link in bio. 🔗
