Nobody sees this part.
Not the crowds. Not the cameras.

Just five people in a kitchen — choosing, again, to give everything they have for this country.
This is what New Zealand’s culinary team looks like when nobody is watching.

Quiet. Focused. Decided.

The Bocuse d’Or is the Olympics of the culinary world. 24 nations compete.

Years of preparation lead to five and a half hours of live competition on the world’s greatest gastronomic stage in Lyon, France.

New Zealand has a team. 🇳🇿
This team.

They don’t have the biggest budget. 🙁
They don’t have government funding.😢

What they have is this — each other, and a belief that Aotearoa belongs at that table.🫶🏽🇳🇿💙

Follow — because the road to Lyon 2027 is a story worth being part of. 🇳🇿🔪

Most people don’t know this competition exists.
Those who do, call it the Olympics of the culinary world.

The Bocuse d’Or — held in Lyon, France — is the most prestigious chef competition on the planet.

24 nations.
Years of preparation.
Five days of live competition in front of thousands.

And New Zealand has a team. 🇳🇿
This team.

New faces. Relentless fire. 🔥
And an Aotearoa that deserves to see its flavours, its people, and its craft represented at the highest table in the world.

They didn’t get here by accident.

They got here by choosing the hardest path — every single day — because they believe New Zealand belongs on that stage.

We do too.

This is the beginning of that journey.
And we want you with us. 👊🏽

Follow — because the road to Lyon is a story worth watching unfold. 🇳🇿🔪✨
