🌟 Silver Sponsor Spotlight: Goodman Contractors 🌟

Thank you to our awesome Silver Sponsor, Goodman Contractors, for their continued support of Work Ready Kāpiti programmes and the future of our local workforce.

Goodmans have been supporters of Work Ready Kāpiti since our beginning, always going above and beyond. They always show up for rangatahi, whether that be through conducting interviews at our or offering placements through our WEX (Work Experience) programme. These experiences give rangatahi throughout Kāpiti a chance to learn about and experience real careers in civil construction first-hand.

We appreciate all that Goodmans do for us and their ongoing support!

Connecting educators with local businesses 🤝

That's what our second Kāpiti Industry Connections (KIC) Breakfast session was all about!

In partnership with the Kāpiti Coast District Council and Mayors Taskforce for Jobs NZ, we ran our second session of this networking event series at the Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club yesterday. It was another amazing opportunity to bring local educators and employers together to talk about how we can better bridge the gap between education and employment for our rangatahi. ⭐

Thank you to our wonderful keynote speakers – Aletia Thompson from the Ministry of Education and Jessamy Roadley from Young Enterprise – for engaging with our attendees and speaking about your mahi.

Finally, thank you to all the employers – Electra, Summerset Retirement Villages, Waterfront Bar & Kitchen Waterfront Bar, Naylor Love , Stanmore Farm Grapevine Nursery, Vets on Riverbank and Whittaker's Chocolate Lovers – and educators from across Kāpiti who joined us!
