Kapiti Spinners and Knitters

Kapiti Spinners and Knitters We live (or lived) on Kapiti Coast. We love to spin, weave, knit, crochet, embroider, felt & create with fibre.

This page isn't formally affiliated with any organisation, although many members belong to other groups, such as Kapiti Arts & Crafts Society Members include Kapiti Coasters who belong to Creative Fibre Wellington, and/or the Spinners, Weavers & Knitters Group (which is part of the Kapiti Arts and Crafts Society). Most years, the group hosts a Spin-In or Spin and Knit-In - although Covid lockdowns

interrupted these until 2021. Traders are invited to bring their goods for sale. Artisans and crafters bring examples of their work - woven, spun or knitted fibres.

Hi Friends & Followers, Bronwyn here. I've neglected this page lately, but it's great to see we have so many followers and members of the associated group.

I've made our page "follow" a number of other organisations - from Creative Fibre to yarn and wool shops and other knitting+spinning+fibre groups - whose posts I hope you'll enjoy.

I'm also wondering if any of you would like to share the hosting of this page and group; you can be an editor or have a full admin role if you're already part of this community.

And please keep posting and sharing to the page! It's such fun to read the jokes, see others' work-in-progress and completed projects, share ideas and swoon in wonder at other creatives' awesomeness & patience.

Here's what I've been working on lately: moss stitch bags and beanies to use up the stash. And a jersey for grandson that's too big for him.
