The Shed Project Kāpiti The Shed Project is a local organisation that works with disabled and disadvantaged people.

The Shed Project Kāpiti in Paraparaumu, New Zealand, is a limited company with charitable status. Our business activities allow sustainability to provide services to our people. We aim to eliminate all barriers in order to achieve successful integration into the community for those who may be potentially marginalized due to disability, gender, emotional or behavioral problems. It has a multi-func

tional purpose, focusing primarily in three areas: The promotion of the rights and full participation of people with disabilities in society. The reduction of social stigma and barriers facing those trying to reintegrate into the workforce. To increase self efficacy and confidence in those who lack social and other skills which may prevent successful entry into the workforce. The Shed Project provides a venue that community organisations can operate and function in ways that might previously not have been possible due to a lack of a venue. We are also associated with Think Differently (http://www.thinkdifferently.org.nz), a campaign to raise public awareness of people with disabilities, encourage inclusive attitudes and social acceptance.

Join us for an awesome weekend out at the Otaki Pottery Club's "Star Glaze" Ceramics Festival at Ōtaki-Māori Racing Club both Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July.

Enjoy some great racing with friends and family, have a go at making pottery, raku firing and take a look at some of the creations exhibited by our Shed Creative Space artists.

Entry: $10 Race club fee on Friday, Koha on Saturday.

Speaking of pottery, our guys will be exhibiting their works at Otaki Pottery Club's Star Glaze Ceramics Festival. Join us 10am-4pm on July 10-11 at the Otaki Racecourse.
