Behind our team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly 5 days a week, is a Board of 9 volunteers who meet once a month for a couple of hours to ensure the smooth running of this organisation.
The Board is elected each October for 12 months. With a number of members leaving this year due to rotation, we currently need a further 2 or 3 new Board members.
If you feel you would like to assist this wonderful Community organisation and can spare energy, enthusiasm and a couple of hours once a month, please either contact our Chairman Richard Moulton at [email protected] or our Manager Jill Mason 027 750 8054 to discuss further.

Did you know that 94% of our team are volunteers? That includes our dedicated Board members and the incredible locals who show up week after week to help provide kai support to families across our region.

Kāpiti Community Foodbank is running low on some key items, and if you’re able to help, we’d be incredibly grateful. While food is always our core focus, we also support families with essential hygiene and cleaning products — small items that make a big difference in daily life.
Top 5 Food Items Needed: • Tinned Soup • Pasta Sauce • Spreads (Honey, Vegemite, Marmite) • Lunchbox Items (muesli bars, small snacks, etc.) • Tinned Fish (Tuna, Sardines)
Top 5 Non Food Items Needed: • Toothpaste • Sanitary Pads and Tampons • Laundry liquid • Toilet Paper • Bodywash
Non Human Needs: • Dry Cat Food • Wet Dog Food
