Friends of Animal Charities Friends of Animal Charities opened shop at the heart of Paraparaumu Beach in April 2014, set to raise money for animals in need.

The charity was set up by 20 local women, all of whom share a love for animals and a dedication to helping charities. As a lot of animal organisations struggle financially, this group of friends felt money was needed to be raised to help organisations whose objectives are to assist animal welfare or who promote the care and well being of animals.
