You may have seen the recent news about Parents Centre Aotearoa Charitable Trust closing and no longer running antenatal classes in 2025. On behalf of Papakura Parents Centre we would like to reassure our community that Papakura Parents Centre will continue to offer all our services as normal until we advise our members otherwise.
Papakura Parent Centre is a part of the Charitable Trust which was only formed in 2022. We remain an Independent Centre - what this means is that we are run by a local team of volunteers and responsible for our own finances including securing our own funding, via grants, fundraising and memberships. We are separate incorporated societies and registered charities.
We are still working through what these changes mean for our operations in the background but as a committee are committed to continuing to be here for our community.
