❗️ANNOUNCEMENT ❗️

You may have seen the recent news about Parents Centre Aotearoa Charitable Trust closing and no longer running antenatal classes in 2025. On behalf of Papakura Parents Centre we would like to reassure our community that Papakura Parents Centre will continue to offer all our services as normal until we advise our members otherwise.

Papakura Parent Centre is a part of the Charitable Trust which was only formed in 2022. We remain an Independent Centre - what this means is that we are run by a local team of volunteers and responsible for our own finances including securing our own funding, via grants, fundraising and memberships. We are separate incorporated societies and registered charities.

We are still working through what these changes mean for our operations in the background but as a committee are committed to continuing to be here for our community.

As we know more we will continue to provide updates. But please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

We would like to give a massive thank you to Pakn' save Papakura who have generously donated to our centre by supplying our antenatal and postnatal groups delicious food and supper supplies for the next year!

OUT OF THE CAR, OUT OF THE CAR SEAT
Car seats or capsules protect your baby when travelling in the car but are not designed to be a safe sleeping space.
When you are at home or arrive at your destination take your baby out of the capsule/car seat and place them in a safe sleep space such as a cot, Pepi-Pod, wahakura, bassinet or a buggy which must recline flat. Babies need to lie flat, level and on their back face up and face clear when they sleep

We love working with Well Women Franklin at PPC supporting women through their parenting journey.

If you’re pregnant or have a child under the age of five and are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression please reach out their incredible team.

They run groups in Pukekohe, Papakura and now Manurewa.

This is a an amazing not-for-profit organisation who run all of their support free of charge 🥰 ❤️

We are opening a new group in the beautiful space at Manu Tukutuku, Randwick Park!

Come and meet the team on Thursdays from 10-11.30, starting 12 October
