A generous donator to our charity has laid down a challenge to me and to Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC… would anyone support and go and donate blood 🩸. The need is huge and do you think you or your team would do this ?😘

So ofcourse I have said yes 🙌
I’m looking to go Tuesday 13th October 2026 - yes sad to say it will be my first time … so who wants to join me ?

Books … Books…Books … Everyone deserves to enjoy a book 📕 x

BCC we believe in books, if you can look at a pic, or turn a page you can imagine, believe and pretend you can be anything you want to be ! Then as we read the world becomes a very interesting place, where stories have a place in our heart and mind😍

Every year we have bought books from scholastic to have brand new books to add to Xmas parcels …as our gift to all at Xmas time…

Tomorrow, Lara and Immy, Margs and a team begin organising for Xmas 😍

Special mention to Terrace End Z - Good in the Hood 2026 - Manager Daniel for our winning we were able to purchase more books 📚 😘

Our Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC shop is for everyone ♻️❤️

Yes under $10 is always but every now and then we have different days.
$1 - day everything inside and outside shop $1 on racks, shelves and wherever a space is …

Sometimes Saturday $5 fill a bag - yes you got it - fill to the brim in outside under cover, while our shop inside is priced ..

Our team did a great job this past week in $1 sale week … due to school hols.

Quick story … A dad came with two kiddies they both had coins - yes $3 each… they looked, picked up , put down , went around around around and then found their faves :- yes 3 items $3…. Now how cool a holiday activity was that 😘🙌

Real stories- Real care - Real compassion

Very busy week Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC in all areas, and with a number of service organisations requests.

In the area of sensory - we have had Swetha reach out for more sensory toys for their weekly event on a Sunday at Te Manawa thru until mid Dec.

Mash Trust also requested a number of sensory items to assist peeps they are supporting.

Plus other requests direct to us …our volunteer Devon has been busy supporting these requests this week… as we continue to grow this area is growing very quickly 😍

Crinkle buddies, weighted friends , fidgets, marble mazes just to name a few 🙏🥰

Today I spoke at Rebus, thanks to Joan for organising and President Andy for your kindness❤️

The more I speak to community at their request, the more I truly feel that yes Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC we are truly making a difference for so many peeps and what we do is valued 🥰

Your kindness, your compassion, your support is so brilliant 🙌

A quick story … yesterday while helping Brett and team at donations a gentleman came up to gate :- hey I’ve got some donations a bird spoke to our group a couple of weeks ago, and she said it didn’t matter if you were thin or fat , if you had spare clothes in your wardrobe that were not going to be worn again she would appreciate them :- so here I am - Brett goes “the bird” was she any good 😘 he goes - well I’m here aren’t I she touched a chord ❤️

Now that’s community making a difference for our community 🙏😍

Real Stories- Real Care- Real Compassion
A heartfelt week of genuine care and true sadness, from some of our Social Workers supporting community this week.

Needing clothes for a palliative care person, where sizing is getting smaller ❤️

Domestic situation where a family is being supported ❤️…4 boxes 3 bags and a truly heartfelt thank you 🙏 💕

Supporting our friends at Women’s Refuge with a washing machine and a Dryer…thanks to our Brett for delivering 🙌🥰

To our friends at Plunket seeking cots from us to avoid mumma and bubbas co- sleeping …safety 🥰

Big thanks to Palmerston North City Council and Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC community !

Yes we now are changing from a commercial lease to a peppercorn lease from end of November 2026.

Thank you all

We can now get on with doing more good in our community and supporting many more people daily

Today is lease outcome day with Palmerston North City Council for our Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC - BCC HQ, we hope this is a formality after Committee vote earlier this month and it’s just a vote , stamp, change and we can move forward with our charity work that happens daily! 😍👍

Today please come bring kids, grandies a few of our great team have activities set up and yes the ice cream truck is coming too 🙌

Yes everything in the butterfly shop, to allow all to enjoy something fun is $1 per item - grab a board game, a toy, a top, some shoes, an ornament … dvd, book - let your imagination flow , everyday this week there is new stock added 😘

Busy start to the week at BCC, Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC, from admin putting applications together, meeting and greeting some amazing peeps, huge donations….from a beautiful fam who came x4 times (yes 4 carloads of donations 🙏 ) a busy time on the floor with some beautiful box ups , crafting team creating more sleepsacs, some early Xmas wrapping, and yes the shop really busy too …

School holidays underway, and we hope every family is finding joy in their day 😍

Today we finish with an awesome volunteer Nicki who did the most beautiful box ups for, elderly 82yr, elderly 83yr and a mid sixties friend as well. Created with such care , understanding the dementia need and the sensory around that ❤️
