A massive thank you to our OG player, Mahina Selby-Law, for capturing the day through her awesome photos 📸

🏉 DAWGSOULJAHZ JUNIOR TOUCH CLINIC 1 🏉

Our very first Junior Touch Clinic kicked off on Friday, with our second clinic taking place tomorrow! Here are a few shots from Friday’s session 📸

Our clinic was packed with learning, connection and fun, including:
🤝 Whanaungatanga & icebreakers
🏉 Passing, attacking & defence stations
🗣️ Referee stations
🔥 Touch games
🍎 Kai & connection to finish
📝 Feedback

When registering, we asked our juniors what they wanted to get out of the clinic. Their responses included:
✨ Learning and improving their Touch skills
📖 Understanding the rules of the game
💪🏽 Building confidence
🤝 Developing teamwork
🫶🏽 Meeting new people
😄 Having fun
🏃🏽 Gaining more experience

And from the feedback we've received, it's safe to say we were able to meet these needs! Seeing our tamariki learning, growing in confidence, connecting with others and enjoying themselves is what it's all about.

A massive thank you to our club and youth volunteers for giving up their time, energy and effort to support our junior Touch players. Your commitment helps create opportunities for our tamariki to learn, grow and thrive both on and off the field. We appreciate you all!

Bring on clinic number two tomorrow 🐾

🚨 UNIFORM POST - 2nd & 3rd ORDER!

Kia orana whānau!

The online store has reopened and will close again on the following dates:

🛍️ 2nd order closes: Sunday 4 October
🛍️ 3rd order closes: Friday 23 October

The black set has been confirmed as the uniform for all our Junior and Adult teams to wear for module this coming season.

For Lil Souljahz, if you still have the old green uniform, you are more than welcome to continue wearing this if it helps your whānau save on costs 💚

You’ll also see a Kia Orana set on the website. This one is specifically for my whānau Mixed Touch team only. As I’m coordinating a few of our touch teams, it just makes things easier for me to manage.

You’ll also see a white set online at some point. This will be used by our teams heading to the annual Whakatāne tournament in January 2027.

All other gear available online is optional and completely up to you.

Our uniforms can be purchased through the KBS Teams online store on their NZ website.

Last week’s team photos 📸

Dawgsouljahz (Men’s A Grade)

DS (Men’s B Grade)

419 (Men’s C Grade)

DA (Women’s)

Last week saw Dawgsouljahz go head-to-head with our DS side, 419 take on B12 Women’s, and DA face off against the Tiny Turbos.

Yes, that’s right — part way through the module we introduced another Men’s team under DS. This created an opportunity for some of our players who competed in the Men’s C Grade in the first round to step up and have a go in the Men’s B Grade in the final round. It also allowed us to provide another option for players who didn’t have a team to join. A huge thank you to Ronan Tua for stepping up to support and take on this team — we appreciate your commitment 👏🏽

We’re proud to have four teams competing in the module competition and to continue creating a strong pathway for everyone to play the game we all love — Touch.

As we head into the final week of module touch this week, we’re excited to start planning for some of our teams to return to the January Whakatāne Tournament in 2027, and hopefully enter many more Touch tournaments in 2026/27 we haven’t yet been part of yet 😎

That’s on Familia 💛🖤

Tonight was all go for the club with a DA vs 419 matchup! Our 419 youngins handling the adult module with ease, giving it everything week after week while having fun and our DA women showed up in full force, mixing OG players with our new young girls + we’re loving having Liana Leota back at the helm leading the way!
