We had a wonderful regional celebration of Volunteers early in the month. This year SuperGrans acknowledged Gail a long standing Board member and Martina one of our dedicated sewing mentors who enjoyed a lovely morning with 56 other selfless volunteers.
Thank you to Volunteer Central for a great event, and to Councilor Lorna Johnson for your wonderful community support.

Stretch Sewing - How to use an Overlocker.

During this workshop you will learn basic skills for working with stretch fabrics and how to use an overlocker. We will practice these skills by making a child's sweatshirt, which will be donated to the community if you don't have a small person to gift it to.

When: Wednesday 24th June 2026 10am to 1pm
You will need to have had previous sewing experience to attend this workshop

SuperGrans Manawatu have been busy at their sewing machines making cosy kids' pyjamas and they've given some to us to pass on to kids in need in our rural areas. Thanks for your generosity and support for the community SuperGrans ❤️🩷💜

These gorgeous wool teddies, lovingly knitted by the ladies from the Country Women's Institute, are heading off to Hato Hone St John. The teddies will be in local Manawatu ambulances, handed out to their young patients. Thanks to Pauline from Hato Hone St John
