For believers, the story of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is our family story. It's like flicking through the photo album and being reminded of who we are, warts and all. We see joys and sorrows, children and childlessness, romance and strife, faithfulness and favouritism, jealousy and reconciliation, hope and loss.

But first of all, this story is about the God who calls this family his own! He calls himself the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob (Exo 3:6). He is the God who invites us to trust his promise, that through this family, he will bring about his saving plans for the whole world.

8 week course - $125 Early bird fee or $150 Standard fee

The Early bird fee will apply to payments made before 5pm the FRIDAY BEFORE the course starts. Standard fee will apply if paid after this date.

Emmaus Annual Working Bee
We welcome any volunteer workers for our annual working bee at Emmaus, this Saturday 31 January from 10am - 1pm, at 91 Mihaere Drive. We clean the premises from top to bottom! Loan of a water blaster for external cleaning would be very welcome. Feel free to come for an hour or however long you can give. Morning tea provided 🙂

Since 2009, Emmaus has taught hundreds of people from a wide range of churches, and nurtured dozens of interns into deeper faith commitment.

Book Purchase and Fundraising opportunity for Emmaus friends and supporters,

We have an opportunity to partner with the authors of the popular book Pilgrimage Aotearoa to raise funds for our “Friends of Emmaus” Appeal. And at the same time it provides you with excellent Christmas or birthday presents! This wonderful book by locals John and Jenny Hornblow introduces 100 sites of significance for the Christian story in Aotearoa New Zealand. It’s warmly endorsed by many Christian leaders, and is becoming a guidebook for those of us interested in our Christian history in this land. Emmaus’ Year for God CertCM Internship will give you a solid foundation for whatever God calls you to next. You’ll get a much clearer picture of who you are, what you believe and how God wants you to make a difference in his world. You’ll be part of a friendly, experienced and safe learning community that’s been training Christian leaders in the Manawatu for 15 years.

What does a CertCM Internship look like?
It’s a combination of learning, practical experience and mentoring.

Participate one day a week in a welcoming and relaxed learning community (6 hours)
Work in a practical ministry situation that could be with youth, local church, Christian organisation or potentially a Christian school (16-20 hours)
