Meet Margaret 💗

Margaret has volunteered with Dress for Success for four years. She works behind the scenes in our sorting room, helping process the generous clothing donations that support our styling wardrobe and shop.

“I volunteer because I like clothes and this is my way to give back to a charity that I enjoy and believe in.”

Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Every sorted garment, every tidy rack, and every hour given helps women in our community feel confident and supported as they take their next step. If you’ve been thinking about volunteering, we’d love to hear from you.

Curious about our styling appointment? Our styling service is free, one-on-one experience designed to help you feel prepared, confident, and ready for what’s next. Here’s how it works:

1. Book an appointment
You can message us directly or fill out an online booking form.

2. Meet with our stylist
Our stylists will work with you to find clothes that not only make you look good but also feel good too.

3. Choose your outfit
Together, we’ll find clothing that suits your style, your goals, and your upcoming interview, work opportunity, or special event.

4. Keep the outfit
The outfit is yours to keep, so you can walk into your next step feeling ready. If you are visiting us for an interview outfit, you are welcome to return when you secure employment to receive a full week’s capsule wardrobe to help in your transition to the workplace. All clothing is free for you to keep.

We might be a little hidden, but behind the scenes there’s a whole lot happening. From free styling sessions helping women prepare for interviews and new jobs, to our volunteers sorting donations and our boutique helping support our services — there’s always something going on.
