Parafed Waikato provides sporting opportunities for people with physical disabilities or vision impairments. Last Saturday, their Sports On Courts Day brought a range of activities together, from wheelchair basketball and rugby to adapted bikes and jiu-jitsu! 🙌

RRT has supported Parafed Waikato’s events for over four years, and served 210 Signature Burgers to participants on Saturday. Hear organiser Cathy share how this ongoing support helps make days like these happen. 🍔

Two days, 5,300 meals and a heartfelt thank you to Auckland City Hospital’s healthcare teams! 💙 Last week, 100 RRT volunteers put “Thank You in Action”, serving meals as a gesture of appreciation for the hospital’s staff.

These events wrapped up our nationwide appreciation campaign, with more than 36,000 meals served across 61 events at 50 hospitals since International Nurses Day in May.

Manchester House Social Services helps families in Feilding access food and practical support, and last Thursday it took that support to the Bernie Way Street Party. The event gave local families a chance to connect with community services.

Rapid Relief Team NZ was glad to serve burgers and cake in support of Manchester House’s work to help families access the support they need.

Heart Kids NZ provides free, lifelong support to children, teens, adults and whānau affected by childhood heart conditions.

RRT’s Wellsford team supported the Heroes For Heart Kids street appeal at Te Komititanga Square, selling 100 burgers over lunchtime and raising $654 for Heart Kids NZ.

Today, RRT volunteers had the privilege of serving over 2,800 meals to healthcare staff at Auckland City Hospital, giving them a moment to connect with colleagues and enjoy a small token of appreciation for the care they provide to our communities. 💙

We’ll be back tomorrow to serve more of the staff as we wrap up our nationwide appreciation campaign, which began with International Nurses Day in May!
