The Crop Swap is on tomorrow at the Awapuni Community Centre from 1.30pm. We have had a few complaints so just a few gentle reminders. We won’t be opening the doors until 1.30pm to make it fair for everyone. The Crop Swap is not a shop, we need to ensure that everyone gets the chance to pick up produce please be considerate to fellow swappers, taking as much produce as you can will not be tolerated. If you bring items along and they haven’t been taken ie: plastic pots, jars etc, can you please take them home with you as we have very limited storage. We want to make this monthly event a pleasurable experience for everyone and we thank you for understanding.

Thank you so much to everyone that came today, it was lovely to see both new and old crop swap people. A big thank you to the people who helped set up and cleared up. It was so appreciated. See everyone next month

Thanks to everyone who came to today's swap, we had a great turnout and lots of produce, seedlings and pots found new homes (sorry I didn't take any photos today!). Just a few housekeeping things for our new swaps:
1. The crop swap runs between 1.30-2.30pm, please don't access the hall or start swapping before 1.30pm as the organisers need a bit of time to set up the tables and its not fair on those that arrive a bit later.
2. If you are bring large numbers of pots or perennials, please hang around and be prepared to take them home with you if no one else takes them. We do not have space to store things at the hall until the next swap and it becomes a headache for the organisers to have to dispose of whats left.
3. Please don't bring any invasive plants like Agapanthus as we don't want to be spreading these around palmerston north!
Thanks, hope to see you all next time!

If you are wondering what to bring...

And just a quick PSA: If you are bringing perennials or large amounts of something "unusual" please be prepared to take your plants etc home at the end if no one wants them. Its difficult for the organisers to find homes for leftovers and they may end up in the compost which is a shame!
