This week is 💜🩵 National Volunteer Week 💜🩵 and we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing Companion Caller volunteers across the Tararua District! Some of whom are pictured below 🤩

These wonderful people generously give their time to provide connection, compassion, and a listening ear to seniors in our communities who are experiencing loneliness.

They are often a bright spot in someone’s week, and in many cases, the only meaningful conversation an isolated senior may have. The relationships they build are incredibly special, with many companions becoming treasured friends.

Volunteer work is deeply meaningful, and it truly makes a difference. The Companion Caller Service simply wouldn’t exist without our volunteers. Your kindness, care, and aroha do not go unnoticed and are deeply appreciated. 💜

Our services are continuing as usual. If you have an appointment scheduled with one of our kaimahi, they will be in touch to arrange an alternative meeting location.

If you are wanting frozen meals, we have taken a supply over to HelpnHand. Please give us a call on 06-376-7608 so we can arrange for someone to meet you there.
