Location: Paeroa
Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm
The Hauraki Māori Trust Board is a kaupapa Māori organisation dedicated to the wellbeing and aspirations of whānau across the Hauraki rohe. We are seeking an experienced and proactive kaimahi to join our Whānau Development team.
This is a rewarding and varied role supporting both rangatahi and whānau. You will work alongside young people and their families to identify goals, overcome challenges, and strengthen positive outcomes. The role may also includes facilitating group programmes, building strong relationships with schools and community partners, and supporting the day-to-day delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusted relationships with rangatahi and whānau.
• Assess needs, provide advocacy, and support goal planning.
• Develop and facilitate group programmes and activities.
• Communicate effectively with schools, whānau, and community agencies.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external providers.
• Coordinate referrals and connect clients with appropriate support services.
• Assist with programme logistics, including transport, resources, and planning.
• Maintain accurate client records, reports, and documentation.
Ideal Candidate:
• Experience working with rangatahi and/or whānau.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and facilitation skills.
• Experience in case management, advocacy, or group programme delivery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and strong organisational skills.
• Values tikanga Māori and is committed to whānau-centred service delivery.
• Holds a full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.

🌟 Otago REACH Scholarship Applications Now Open! 🌟

The University of Otago’s Māori Health Workforce Development Unit is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Otago REACH (Realising Educational Aspirations for Careers in Health) Scholarship!

This amazing opportunity supports up to 20 Māori Year 13 students from across Aotearoa to experience university life and explore pathways into health careers.

Students will spend 3 days and nights in Dunedin (3–6 August 2026) - attending lectures, visiting residential colleges, meeting current students, and discovering study options in health.
