Kia Orana!

A big SPPEEx thank you to everyone who came along to our site visit at the Wairau Wastewater Renewals Project.

Hosted by Pipeworks and Watercare, the visit gave members a close-up look at the trenchless relining of a live transmission sewer, creating a great opportunity for learning, discussion, and professional development.

We’re especially proud to see SPPEEx so well represented on this project. Massive shoutout to Papamama Pokino and Alesana Faiumu, who are engineers on the project, and to project leaders Ashneel Lal and SPPEEx President Isileli Aholelei. Seeing Pasifika engineers leading and delivering important infrastructure projects is exactly the kind of representation and inspiration we love to celebrate.

Meitaki Ma’ata to our hosts and all attendees for making it such a successful visit. 💙
