Taranaki National Art Awards

Taranaki National Art Awards Taranaki National Art Awards is an annual art competition held in Opunake, South Taranaki.

A registered charitable trust, TNAA is run by a voluntary committee and gains sponsorship form a variety of trusts and local busniesses to offer a $15,000 prize pool. There are seven categories, two judges and the exhibition follwoing the awards ceremeiony cooincicdes with the Taranaki Garden Spectacular.

Juliet’s astounding ceramic objects wowed and delighted Taranaki National Art Awards audiences. The judges were also captivated by her gravity defying funky forms and glorious glazing, acknowledging her talent and skills as a two time award winner in the 3D Category.
Her epic vessels were Suessian inspired objects of joy, infusing us with wonder and delight! We are fortunate to have appreciated Juliet’s unique ceramic works, and her exquisite whimsical expressions of self will endure and inspire.

Event Dates 2026: Friday 30 October – Sunday 8 November.

Celebrate the success of last year's national creative showcase, while reviewing performance, passing annual reports and electing officers.
