Kitten update:
Brought to us at the end of September, 3 kittens weighing between .290 grams and .413 grams, these 3 were very lucky not to be run over by a digger working on the stop bank upgrade.

Out on foster the smallest one has battled away and is now on the right track for survival, weighing today .385 grams, the other two streaking ahead.

With two already on hold for a possible home, its an early but good start to the kitten season.

OSCA CLYDE:
Domestic longhaired black and white male cat. Clyde is 2.5 years old. He has spent most of his life outdoors and stresses abit when indoors, although it seems he likes sleeping on his previous owners bed.

Clyde came to us because he was toileting in the wrong place, however since with us he pees and poos in a litter tray, so he does know how to use one!

Clyde is 'unsure' at the moment, given he has moved homes twice. Ideally we are looking for a rural outdoor home for him, where he can feel comfortable, find his right place and work from there.

If you can offer him that type of home, we are sure you will be rewarded with a happy cat.

Clyde was desexed by OSCA back in 2024 currently not microchipped. At the moment we are looking for a suitable home for him before we get that done.

OSCA ASH:
All grey male cat around a year old. Ash originally arrived to us in January this year, he went out to a home, however he is not keen on super young kids, so he came back to us for rehoming. Ash was to be homed, we have waited for circumstances to clear but now seems that home is not happening. Ash is now available again to find his forever home.

Ash does come with a few things to be mindful of. He has a sensitive stomach so needs grain free biscuits with feeding little each time. Also he has an issue with his eyes that sometimes needs medication.

Other than that! He is a very lovable dude, he likes to climb on your back if you bend down and have a neck smooch, loves his pats and cuddles and can be picked up no problem.

Seeking a mature person or family who can maintain his feeding and eye needs without too many young children around.

Adoption fee is $70.00 - Ash is desexed, had one vaccination, microchipped and a great flea/worm programme going. Please message us if interested in ASH

It was quite the eventful adoption of a cat I have ever had!

As circumstances have it, our latest adoption was to a registered nurse from Kawerau (unbeknown).

Within seconds of the accident happening yesterday afternoon, Jo and I were able to be there instantly, dialling 111 as Jo climbed over the fence. Thankfully having lots of towels and bits and pieces came very handy.

Thank you Jo for your expertise, calmness and concern, we should really be so thankful for the first responders, second responders and all the emergency help that comes when needed and other people that assisted with diverting traffic.

With a quick cup of hot coffee and a cat on board, Jo headed back to Kawerau! We hope that OSCA Coco settles in well and quick.

We wish our local person all the best for his recovery too, not nice to witness.

One eyed don't let that fool you ... OSCA AMBER is a great fly catcher and mouser!! Smudgey torti 1 year 7 months old.

We have had Amber since 26 February 2025, as much as we love her she really needs to find her own home. Better suited to being an only cat as she can be cranky with other female cats.

Amber was hit by an ambulance travelling to Whakatane which clipped the side of her head, it caused her eye injury which resulted in surgery to remove it, this has not stopped her catching things though!

If you need a good mouser this is the cat for you. An ideal home would be: only cat with lots of space to adventure too- small rural property would be great.

Amber is not overly keen on being picked up, but she knows her name and will be by your side in a flash.

Adoption fee $95.00. Come in for a visit with AMBER

OSCA MANGO:
Black with a small hint of white on chest male kitten. Mango is around 5 months old. He is slightly shy on first contact, then mellows out to enjoy a gentle rub, pat and pick up. Playful with the other kittens we have.

Mango will become a much loved companion once he has found his forever quiet safe home, who can give him the time to blossom and gain confidence.

Mango is desexed, had a vaccination and microchipped. His adoption fee is $70.00 along with his vet booklet. He has been started on a great worm and flea programme.

Come spend abit of time with MANGO you will see what we are seeing - great potential for that loving family cat.

OSCA COCO (homed) and OSCA MELLOW
Coco a long haired browny tawnie tortie female cat 5 years old and Mellow white calico torti around 4 years old. Please note: that Coco will require some grooming.

Both female cats have come from the same family home and are likely to be related. Coco and Mellow are seeking another home to become part of. Both can be homed together or separately.

These two cats have been desexed by OSCA back in 2023 and are now microchipped and vaccinated when they arrived to us in August 2026. We have started a good flea/worm programme.

Adoption fee of $80.00 each to help get these girls homed, along with their vet booklet and microchips to be registered to new owner on the NZ Companion Animal Register
