Adoptions - yes the centre is open 7 days a week, opening hours 9 to 11 am and 4 to 5 pm as normal.

A beautiful June day to take a photo of our newly painted fence at the Centre.

Sharing the load:

Big thank you to Mike Young for water blasting the fence and Merle Tammemae for painting it. Looks very clean and fresh.

Along with Gary from ITM mowing our lawns and Kathrine for her gardening, the property is looking pretty smart with beautiful colour for this time of year.

Sadly Cleo one of our incoming surrenders from May has been put to a final sleep.

Cleo arrived to us back in May with 5 kittens. She did an amazing job of raising them. Cleo started to decline in weight, drinking heaps and outputting heaps of water. Blood tests revealed she had developed chronic kidney failure. In consultation with our vets, Cleo was put to sleep yesterday, she now rests alongside Bacall who we lost last week.

Cleo was a beautiful friendly young cat who we had great hopes of finding her a wonderful home but sadly it was not to be.

Rest easy Cleo.

Sadly we said a final goodbye to our lovely Bacall today, who arrived to us 23 July last year as a young kitten.

Bacall had been out adventuring during the day and coming back in for afternoon shift put away, the last couple of days she had been missing, returning this morning with hind leg problems.

Sadly it turned out to be a huge injury, taking all options into account, Bacall was humanely put to sleep. A beautiful girl with gorgeous green eyes, full of soft head butts and rubs, we will certainly miss that.

Photo bombing - we have several kittens ready for homes - all up to weight for adopting.

Black, tabby, black and white, grey and white all male x 6
Calico Torti, black and white females x 2

Adoption fee: $70.00 for males and $95.00 for females, will come with our voucher covering the desexing, one vaccination, microchip and registration on the NZ Companion Animal register. Once vaccinated you will receive their vet booklet.

All kittens have had a good flea and worming programme started.
