Lula and Shaynee shared that gambling and gaming ads often look fun and appealing to young people. Their message to whānau is simple: if an app or game is exposing tamariki and rangatahi to gambling content, delete it. Removing these apps is one way we can help keep our young people safe online ✨

For Lula and Shaynee, netball keeps them active, out of the house, and gives them quality time with their whānau. 🏐❤️

Social media often makes it look like you can win heaps of money easily, but it doesn’t show the losses, addiction, and harm that can come with gambling.

Sapphire shares how netball supports her wellbeing by keeping her active, connected, and out of the house, and speaks on what many influencers don’t show when promoting gambling online: the reality that gambling can become a harmful addiction.
