A space to connect and make Ōpōtiki the most language rich town in Aotearoa

The first 1000 days are incredibly important for pēpi. Their brain will double in size in their first year of life, and by their third birthday, 80% of their brain will have developed. Babies learn so much when they are little. The way that we talk with them, the words we choose and the languages we share now will make a difference for the rest of their life.

This is a space to share ideas about how we can ensure all tamariki in Ōpōtiki grow up to be confident communicators in Te Reo, English and more! Everyone has a role in realising this dream.

Please keep comments, posts and messages on this page positive and related to the kaupapa of creating language-rich environments.
