Introducing Justyna Miller – Our New Waitaki Multicultural Community Connector.
We’re excited to welcome Justyna Miller to the Waitaki Multicultural team as our new Community Connector.
In this part-time role, Justyna will be helping to organise community activities and programmes, as well as supporting new arrivals in connecting with local services and settling into life in the Waitaki District. Her work will be vital in building a sense of belonging and ensuring that newcomers and migrants feel welcomed and supported.
While the Waitaki Multicultural Coordinator role is currently vacant, Justyna will be actively involved in keeping the momentum going and continuing our engagement with the multicultural community.
Please join us in welcoming Justyna to the team – we look forward to the connections and initiatives that will grow with her support.

Our Story

My name is Christine Dorsey and I am the Newcomers Network and Migrant Support Coordinator for the Waitaki district. I am employed by the Waitaki Multicultural Council to provide services for people new to town. It doesn’t matter if you have come from overseas or another part of New Zealand, you are welcome to join our activities. Waitaki is a great place and I look forward to assisting your settlement in our wonderful community. Please contact me as I am here to assist with anything at all. I have lots of local knowledge, run many groups where you can meet up with other newbies and and I provide specific support for migrants.
