🎓 Kia Tupu Kia Whanake ngā Kura Māhita o Ngātiwai – 2026 Intake Applications NOW OPEN!
Ngātiwai Trust Board is offering scholarships and bursaries for registered Ngātiwai uri aged 18+ pursuing pathways in:
• Primary / Intermediate Education
• Secondary Education
📅 Applications open: 8 June 2026
📅 Applications close: 3 July 2026
📢 Funding decisions confirmed: End of Semester 2, 2026
Six scholarships are available annually:
• 3 × Primary / Intermediate
• 3 × Secondary
Bursaries are also available based on demonstrated need, study commitments, workforce alignment, and kaupapa contribution.
This kaupapa aims to strengthen Ngātiwai educational leadership, cultural identity, and long-term iwi wellbeing by supporting uri entering the education workforce.
Applicants must:
✔ Be 18 years or older
✔ Reside in Aotearoa
✔ Be enrolled in or entering an approved education pathway
✔ Demonstrate commitment to educational workforce development and giving back to Ngātiwai communities
Successful recipients will participate in wānanga, mentoring, annual reporting, and contribute toward Ngātiwai educational aspirations following study completion.
