At Playcentre, we ignite curiosity and creativity by offering open-ended invitations to play, empowering our tamariki to explore and express themselves freely! 🌟

Our Ngatea Playcentre is buzzing with enthusiastic swing lovers, and our little innovators take charge, guiding and helping us to set up the perfect swing experience. 🏰️

With the autumn leaves swirling around us, our curious learners seized the opportunity to collect and experiment, measuring, scooping, and discovering the magic of combining leaves and sand in our blue tuff tray! 🍁️

Our playground is designed with little bodies and big dreams in mind, providing a safe and challenging space for our tamariki to grow, learn, and thrive. 🌳️

Join us Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am-11:30am and unlock your child's full potential! Ages 0-6. 💕 Message us to arrange a visit and discover the endless possibilities! 📲

Today at Ngatea Playcentre, we unleashed our creativity and curiosity, exploring the wonders of soap foam and colour mixing! As we worked together, our collaborative spirit transformed into a vibrant, one-of-a-kind green hue. And the best part? Everyone, from little ones to grown-ups, got to tap into their inner child and get their hands delightfully dirty! 🎨
We also harnessed the power of imagination in the sandpit, crafting a dam and watching in awe as the water flowed, creating a miniature lake before spilling out into the surrounding landscape.
Join us on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am-11:30am and discover a space where creativity knows no bounds and learning is a joyful adventure! 🌈

Messy play week!
Our curious tamariki discovered these incredible opportunities for play this week. How many creatures can you find? 🐋🦈🐙🦁
We have also been harnessing the power of volcanoes in the sandpit and have enjoyed soaring to new heights for hours on the swings. 🌋

✨ Happy Matariki from Ngatea Playcentre! ✨

Last night we gathered with all our Playcentre whānau to celebrate Matariki together. It was such a special evening full of laughter, warmth, and connection as we looked to the stars and celebrated new beginnings.

A highlight of the night was using our brand new firepit for the very first time! The tamariki absolutely loved toasting marshmallows over the flames — such a treat!

**Wrapping Up a Fun-Filled Final Term at Playcentre**

As we approach the end of 2024, we can’t help but reflect on the awesome memories we’ve made during this final term at Playcentre. From festive celebrations to community involvement, it's been a term full of fun, laughter and a little bit of holiday magic ✨

What better way to kick off the holiday season than with a special trip to Courtney’s Christmas Tree Farm. Our tamariki had an absolute blast helping choose the perfect tree to bring back to Playcentre, where we decorated it together and filled the space with festive cheer 🎄
We also enjoyed a shared morning tea picnic at the farm and a surprise visit from the jolly old man himself Santa Claus!! Our tamariki were thrilled to see him and received a lovely gift—a special book each to encourage their love for reading 📕

The festive fun didn’t stop there! Our Playcentre community also participated in the Ngatea Christmas Parade, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible Minions-themed float. With vibrant colors, creative decorations, and lots of smiles, our float stood out in the parade—and we were overjoyed to be awarded Best Kids Float!! It was a fantastic way to showcase our Playcentre spirit and have fun with our families, and the kids loved being part of the action 💛💛💛

It’s been an amazing year, and we’re already looking forward to more fun and adventures in 2025!!
