NGĀ ART - Te Whare Toi o Ngaaruawaahia We are the community art centre for Ngāruawāhia. We offer a broad range of creative activities, classes and events. Strategic and flexible - We're on to it.

NGĀ ART is where creativity is celebrated, and all community members feel inspired and connected. NGĀ ART is an independant community lead not-for-profit charity that serves the community of Ngaaruawaahia. Our vision is to create "a culture of creativity woven for all ~ Te hononga auaha o ngaa iwi kaatoa." We do this by being the centre of creativity for Ngaaruawaahia and surrounding communities. Our Values are:

Have you always wanted to learn the art of raranga? Join us for this welcoming 4-week beginner weaving course and learn how to prepare harakeke, create your own whenu, and weave a traditional kete kono (four-corner basket).

✨ Learn traditional weaving techniques
✨ Prepare and store your own harakeke whenu
✨ Create one or more kete kono in a supportive environment
✨ Connect, learn, and share alongside others
