A top yarn from a part time dairy farmer from up Mangorei Road (who also happens to be in the All Blacks coaching team) that shows how sport can shape lives and build character. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1NBbwGFJLq/

Great things are happening in the schools and football fields in Waitara and beyond thanks to the Sport Taranaki Healthy Active Learning team, Central Football and the Football for All programme.

Filmed in March 2026 - this fun day helped give kids a taste of the game and a way to spark tamariki to be active out of school.

Shout out to the hundreds of kids who got stuck in on the day, Waitara Soccer Club for its facilities and the schools that were part of it - St Joseph's School WaitaraWaitara Central, Manukorihi Intermediate Waitara and Mimi School.

Taranaki Facilities Consortium 🤝 Ōpunakē Pool

Not every project starts with funding — some start with getting the story right.
We’ve recently been working alongside Ōpunakē Pool, helping refine how they communicate their vision as they prepare for a 5-stage facility upgrade. Before approaching funders, and in partnership with Smokeylemon, the TFC supported them to clarify their story and build the case for investment. Because great projects don’t just need funding — they need a clear, compelling case behind them.

The Future Focused Fund is just one of the ways TFC supports local groups to move from ideas to action.

Keen to explore what that could look like for your project? Let’s talk.
