🎉 3,000 boxes of kindness! 🎉

This weekend, Good Bi***es Baking New Plymouth delivered our 3,000th box of baking to people in our community who could use a little extra love. 💛

What better way to celebrate than with one of our amazing bakers, Louise, whipping up these delicious Shortbread S’mores Bars, inspired by Scotland’s World Cup game today! 🏴⚽🍪

Every slice, biscuit, brownie and cake that leaves our kitchens is baked with care by our incredible volunteers, helping us share comfort and kindness, one box at a time.

A huge thank you to our bakers, recipients, referral agencies and supporters for helping us reach this wonderful milestone. Whether we’re baking for a special occasion, a World Cup game, or simply to brighten someone’s day, every box is packed with kindness.

Here’s to the next 3,000 boxes of baking, friendship and community. 💕

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums, grandmas, stepmums, mother figures and caregivers in our community 💛

Today can be beautiful, joyful, complicated and really hard all at once. For those celebrating, we hope you feel loved and appreciated. For those missing someone, grieving, struggling with motherhood, longing to become a mum or finding today difficult for any reason, we’re thinking of you too.

At Good Bi***es Baking New Plymouth we see every day how much love can be poured into the little things - a meal, a message or a baked treat dropped at someone’s door.

Another week, another beautiful delivery of delicious baking from GBB New Plymouth 💛

This week’s treats were gifted to our incredible Public Health workers who passed them on to families in our community who could really use a little extra care.

The response from families was so heartfelt - simple acts like this truly do brighten someone’s day in the most meaningful way. A small box of baking, a moment of kindness, a reminder that they’re not alone.

We are so grateful for the support of Good Bi***es Baking that enables us to do such beautiful act of kindness in Gabby's memory gifting out this baking each week. 💫

Another awesome week for Good Bi***es Baking New Plymouth 💛

Our volunteers have been busy in their kitchens baking up a whole lot of love. This week we delivered 12 boxes of baking to 6 different organisations, sharing a bit of comfort and care across our community.

From sweet treats to homemade favourites, these are just some of the goodies our bakers put together. Every single one made with time, effort and a whole lot of heart.

We’re so grateful for this crew who keep showing up and making a real difference where it matters ✨

Another weekend, another round of butter, sugar and very good intentions from our Good Bi***es Baking New Plymouth volunteers 🩷❤️

Our legends have been busy in their kitchens again, baking up a storm so we can deliver a little sweetness to people in our community who might be having a tough time. Turns out kindness pairs very well with a mixing bowl.

A few random (and very Kiwi) baking facts for your Sunday:

• The Afghan biscuit is a proud New Zealand classic and first showed up in a Kiwi cookbook in the 1930s. Basically proof we’ve always known chocolate, cornflakes and butter belong together.
• New Zealanders eat around 10kg of chocolate per person every year…which honestly explains a lot.
• Kiwis get through millions of blocks of butter every year, and we’re pretty confident a fair amount of that ends up in baking tins.
• The smell of baking actually triggers comfort and happiness in the brain, which means technically this is emotional support baking 😉

Huge thanks to our wonderful volunteers who gave up their weekend (and probably a fair bit of butter) to make this happen. Your baking will soon be heading out to people who could really use a little pick me up.

Happy International Women’s Day from the Good Bi***es Baking New Plymouth team 🩷❤️

Today we’re celebrating the incredible women who make this community what it is - the volunteers who bake, the organisations doing amazing work and the people supporting others every day in quiet but powerful ways.

Good Bi***es Baking was built on women lifting each other up and showing kindness through small acts that make a big difference. A box of baking might seem simple but it carries care, connection and the reminder that someone is thinking of you.

To all the amazing women in our community - thank you for the work you do, the support you give and the strength you bring every day.

You’re pretty bloody awesome. 💪

✨ Community Spotlight: Supporting VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai! ✨

At Good Bi***es Baking New Plymouth we love sharing why we bake for our community and today we’re shining a light on one of the incredible organisations we’re proud to support: VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai. 💛

VOYCE works with tamariki and rangatahi in or with care experience across Aotearoa, making sure their voices are heard and their wellbeing is supported. They provide advocacy, one-on-one support, and connection events where young people can meet others who understand their journey. 🌟

As our newest recipient, we’re proud to supply fresh treats that bring a little extra joy and comfort to the young people VOYCE supports. Because at Good Bi***es Baking New Plymouth, baking isn’t just about the treats - it’s about spreading kindness, connection, and community. 🍪💛

This post? A little late.
The baking? Not even slightly 😏

The Good Bi***es have been back in the kitchen for a few weeks now - ovens on, mixers whirring, kindness flowing. 🩷🩷

As you can see by these delicious looking photos, its been a full on start to the year, but we’re already well into another season of baking up a storm here in New Plymouth.

2026 is officially underway (even if our Comms Bitch is only just catching up 😅).
