Little Heart Day is here! 💖
Right now, communities across Aotearoa are showing up in the most incredible ways. People are pulling on their red shirts, lacing up for charity fitness classes, running raffles, baking, creating, and finding every reason they can to rally together for a cause that affects more families than most people realise. Look out for buildings lighting up red tonight in cities and towns around the country, and keep an eye out for billboards nationwide, because today, Little Heart Day is everywhere, and that visibility matters more than you might think.
Because every week, around 12 families in Aotearoa face the reality of a child with a heart condition. Heart Kids NZ is there through diagnosis, hospital stays, and the lifelong journey that follows, providing support, resources, and hope when it’s needed most. And none of it would be possible without people like you.

Our mood now that March is finally here! 💖✨

The countdown is over which means Little Heart Day month has officially begun 💗🎈

Communities all across New Zealand are getting ready to go red and rally behind heart kids. With fundraisers already popping up across the country, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the month has in store 🎉

Every dollar raised this month goes directly towards making sure heart families have the support they need, when they need it most. From hospital visits to community connection, it all makes a real difference.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PLEASE 🤗

Calling all BBQ Masters! Heart Kids NZ has been given the opportunity to fundraise at Americarna this year at the street party in Inglewood on Thursday 26th February from 4pm to 8pm.

There are two shifts 4pm to 6pm and 6pm to 8pm and I need 3 people per shift to help with cooking the barbeque, serving the sausages and collecting the money.

Wishing our Heart Kids community a very special holiday season
At this time of year, we want to honour and celebrate our incredible heart whānau — your strength, courage and resilience inspire us every day. Our thoughts are with you all across the motu, especially those spending time in hospital and our heart angel families. We know the festive season can be a difficult time, and we hope you feel surrounded by love, care and support
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community of supporters. We couldn’t walk alongside our heart whānau without you. Your generosity and kindness make a meaningful difference for heart families throughout Aotearoa.
Our dedicated team will be taking a well-earned break from Monday 22 December and will return on Monday 12 January. During this time, our social media pages, private messages and emails will not be monitored. Last month we had such a fun afternoon at our end-of-year family event ! The kids had so much fun at Megabounce Go Wild Playground . A massive shout out and thank you to Pace Power & Air for supporting our event and providing all of the children with a wee gift, and Good Bi***es Baking for all the sweet treats and the amazing people that supported on the day. ❤️🥰

The countdown is finally over! September is here, which means Heroes for Heart Kids is officially underway!

From north to south, communities of every size are joining forces across Aotearoa to show what real heroes look like - proving that anyone, anywhere can be a hero

Our national fundraising campaign Heroes for Heart Kids shake a bucket days takes place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September in New Plymouth and Hawera. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to help. We still have a few volunteer spots to fill so if you’d like to get involved, whether at a collection site, through your school or workplace, or in another way, you can register here:
