The final result for the 2026 election of Trustees for Te Kāhui o Taranaki Trust conducted by postal and online voting and by ballot box at the Annual General Meeting on Saturday 10 October 2026 are:

- Jaqualine King (Jacqui)
- Jamie Tuuta; and
- Raymond Tuuta

Te Kāhui o Taranaki Iwi office will be closed all day on Friday, 16 October 2026. We reopen on Monday, 19 October 2026 at 9:00am.

WHY IS THE TARI CLOSED?

Each month, our kaimahi set aside dedicated time to step away from day-to-day operations and focus on how we can better serve our uri, whānau, marae, pā and hapū.

These wānanga give us the opportunity to align our work, strengthen our approach, and ensure the decisions we make today support the future we are building together.

‼ Hui ā-Tau | Annual General Meeting on 10 October 2026 @ Orimupiko Marae ‼

He nui te mihi e te whānau! Thank you to everyone who attended our Hui ā-Tau over the weekend, kanohi ki te kanohi and online.

It was a beautiful day to be together and see what Te Kāhui o Taranaki has achieved over the last year, and the plans for the future.

A special thank you to Aisha Campbell our grant recipient for joining us and sharing her amazing whakaaro.

Ngā mihi nui ki ngā whānau who joined us for the blessing of Te Katonga Nui on the 10 October 2026.

The Te Katonga Nui blessing welcomed whānau together to acknowledge the significance of this kaupapa and the opportunities it represents for current and future generations.

Congratulations to Charmaine Power and Mokoia Coe, uri of Taranaki Iwi and Ngā Māhanga Hapū. They will be two of the first to be moving into Te Katonga Nui.

While we celebrate this important milestone, we also acknowledge it as the start of something bigger. We hope you will stay with us on this journey as we continue to build pathways towards warm, secure homes.

Te Katonga Nui

🏘️ He uri, nāna te whare i hanga mō ngā uri

We had the pleasure of interviewing Ariki of Wano Building onsite at Te Katonga Nui.

He spoke to us about how excited he is to be building his first whare with Wano Building. He hopes uri stepping into their homes "Feel the aroha as they walk into their new whare".

Te Katonga Nui is about more than building houses. It's about creating a place of belonging, connection, and a foundation for future generations.
