We proudly acknowledge and celebrate the incredible achievement of the Lalaga Youth Ambassadors, who took the stage at Polyfest 2026 in the weekend just gone, making history as the very first Pasifika group from Taranaki to do so!
This milestone is more than just a performance. It is the result of months of dedication, discipline, and sacrifice. Countless hours of practice, late nights, early mornings, and the unwavering commitment to represent their cultures with pride have all led to this moment.
To our LYA - you carried your heritage with strength, grace, and excellence. You have not only represented yourselves, but your families, your communities, and all of Taranaki with honour.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to the families and supporters who stood behind these young leaders every step of the way - your encouragement, sacrifices, and belief made this journey possible.

And to the organising team and leaders - thank you for your vision, guidance, and tireless effort in creating this opportunity. Your work has paved the way for future generations. This is an historic moment, and just the beginning. Taranaki is on the map. Pasifika excellence is rising. Viia le Alii.
